Scope: LDMS 9.5 (All Versions), LDMS 9.6
Description: Content Replication fails to replicate some files. Most of the files being replicated are copying to the destination only a small portion of the files are affected.
Problem: Replicator or target Preferred Server are out of space.
Symptoms: Replication task will fail, replication log sent to core will indicate "Failed to download file".
Troubleshooting:
Use Windows Explorer to verify the space available on the Replicator and target Preferred Server.
- Open Windows Explorer on the Replicator and target Preferred Server
- Inspect available free space
Use XTrace on lddwnld.dll to view the error being received when lddwnld is copying the file to the target destination.
- Lddwnld is only being used on the Replicator during this process.

- Enable XTrace on the Replicator.
- Start Content Replication
- The lddwnld.xlg file on the replicator will indicate a error 112 (Microsoft code for ERROR_DISK_FULL)
Resolution: Replicator needs to have enough space to cache the files being replicated.
- Increase available drive space.
- Change replicator to a device with more available space.
- Limit the number of days the Replicator will keep the files in cache.
