Platform:
LDMS 9.6 (this will work with any 9.5 and 9.0 platform as well)
Problem:
How do I kick of a policy sync manually on a device?
Scenario:
I have scheduled a required policy, and do not want to wait till the scheduled Policy Sync runs.
Solution:
1. There is a managed script that will run policy sync, you can find the managed script in the Management Console here;
2. Next find the script named Package Sync;
3. Then right click on it and schedule it;
4. Now drag your desired devices down to the task and “Start now”on “All”;
It may take a couple of minutes to run, but, if the machines are on, they should succeed. Once the sync runs, your scheduled policy should begin if there is not something preventing it from running (I.E. another dist package, or vulscan etc.).
