Signature Verification Failed error during policy distribution in 9.6

The purpose of this document is to allow end users to troubleshoot Signature Verification Failure related error messages during push and policy software distributions in LANDesk Management Suite 9.6

PolicySync.exe.log contains the following messages:

RollingLog : Run PolicySync.exe

RollingLog : Request: Request policies

RollingLog : Request: GetWebResponse ok

RollingLog : LoadLocalPolicyInfo: load local machine

RollingLog : Verify: failed, no signature

RollingLog : Request: signature verification failed

RollingLog : LoadLocalPolicyInfo: load user

RollingLog : PolicySync: failed request

RollingLog : Exit PolicySync.exe with code -3

LANDesk Software Portal fails to load packages:

LANDeskComPlus local user is not a member of Users group on the core server

1. Add LANDeskComPlus local user to the Users group on the core server under AdministrativeTools->ServerManager->Configuration-> Local Users and Groups
   
   
   
2. Restart LANDesk and LANDesk1 COM+ Objects under AdministrativeTools->ComponentServices->Computers->MyComputer->COM+Applications (or reboot the server)
